No Thanks! Is a tribute to the achievements of the African-American people in American society. The work depicts an African-American businessman handing back the lynching noose. The scene serves as proof to those that doubted this group's ability to succeed in society's most highly-regarded positions. The painting was executed from February through May 2006 in oil on gesso-prepared wood. This artwork was displayed at the "South Bronx Contemporary" show for the 25th anniversary of the Longwood Arts project in the fall of 2006.
